His Beginnings
Faith. Family. Service.
Born in New Hanover County and raised in Pender County, James H. Faison III proudly calls both communities home. His journey began in the colored ward of historic James Walker Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1962.
Raised by Deacon James H. Faison Jr. and Deaconess Mary R. Faison, he was shaped by a household rooted in faith, education, public service, discipline, and love for community. Those early values became the foundation for his life as a judge, pastor, mentor, and servant leader.
